Coke Oven Project – Heat Recovery & Non-recovery

Coke is the most important raw material fed into the blast furnace in terms of its effect on blast furnace operation & hot metal quality. MHL supplies high quality coke oven technology.

1. Recovery Type coke oven - MHL has tie up with Chinese design institute to erect such ovens on EPS basis.
2. Non-recovery Type coke oven is the latest in coke manufacturing technology. Here, the carbonization process takes place from the top by radiant heat transfer and from the bottom by conduction of heat through the sole floor. In non-recovery coke ovens, coke oven slag and other by-products are sent to the battery where they are combusted.

When the waste gas exits into a waste heat recovery boiler, which converts excess heat into steam for power generation, the process is also called Heat Recovery Coke making.

MHL has tie up with Chinese design institute and suppliers who can in turn execute turnkey projects for Non-Recovery Coke Oven. Also, MHL enjoys being a reliable supplier of spares of all types.
